Sometimes it’s just nice to capture a summer flowering clematis – which happens to be the first one out in the garden after the early spring ones.
There are 12 groups of Clematis (I think!) and I’ve grown one or two from every group. This one I have no clue as to the name – it was sent by mistake but it’s a double and it does not wilt (which is a good thing!)

Gorgeous! Every spring I wait for the sunflowers to bloom here in Tuscany so I can definitely relate.
